21% of Latvia's economically-active population of government's performance

Only one-fifth or 21 percent of Latvia's economically-active population aged 18 to 55 have a favorable opinion of what the third government of Valdis Dombrovskis (Unity) has been able to do during the 100 days in office, while more than half of respondents are unhappy with the government's performance.

According to January survey by "TNS Latvia", 19 percent of economically-active residents tend to have a positive opinion of the government's work during the first 100 days in office, whereas 2 percent even had a very good opinion of the government's performance, the company's representative Laura Vendele informed LETA.

More than half of Latvia's economically-active residents have a contrary opinion - 55 percent have a poor view of the government's work the past 100 days, including 34 percent who are rather critical, and 21 percent who call it "downright unacceptable."

One-fourth or 25 percent of respondents had no opinion.

"TNS Latvia" carried out the survey in cooperation with the LNT television from January 24 to January 26 via the Internet; 700 economically-active residents were surveyed altogether.
