Martins Dukurs and Tomass Dukurs finish 1st and 2nd at European Skeleton Championship

During today's European Men's Skeleton Championships at the Altenberg Track in Germany, which was also a Skeleton World Cup stage, Latvia's Martins Dukurs and Tomass Dukurs finished in overall first and second place, with M.Dukurs being crowned the continent's champion for the third year in a row.

M.Dukurs dominated, and finished his two runs in 1 min and 54 seconds, 1.07 second ahead of his brother.

On the other hand, Germany's Alexander Kroeckel finished in overall third place, 1.67 seconds behind M.Dukurs.

This was the third time this season that M.Dukurs and T.Dukurs both were on the podium together in a Skeleton World Cup stage.

M.Dukurs has won all four Skeleton World Cup Stages that have taken place this season. On the other hand, T.Dukurs has finished second in two stages, and third in one stage.

This season's Skeleton World Cup will have eight stages, with the Skeleton World Championships to be held in February in Lake Placid (United States).
